Firstly, I've moved this from the general message forum which is for discussing funfairs, not this web site

Secondly, we add every event we are aware of. This forum is based upon the principle that we all share information. If anyone has info on an event not listed, please let us know

Thirdly, this isn't the best time of year to look at this, we are coming to the end of the season, so there won't be many events listed.

I am assuming that in making your comments you know of events that are missing - please reply with the events that are missing and we will add them.

Regards

Bill

Cambridge, 5th November, Midsummer Common lessee Stanley Thurston can be added as well.

Always surprised that one doesn't get added as its our biggest & busiest bonfire here in east anglia.

Because it's regularly occurred in the past does not guarantee it will take place this year unless it's been advertised. A lot of bonfire fairs vary dates each year with most, this year, falling anywhere between Oct 31st & November 9th.

This one always takes place on the 5th November regardless of the day of the week. It is a massive event organised by Cambridge council on the 5th which the fair is a part of. I'm surprised that it obviously does not get advertised in World's Fair.

Lee I think your missing the point here what Mike is saying is that just because a Fair has taken place for many years on a certain date if we are not told or the Fair is not advertised then we don't put it into Coming Events as anything can happen events do get cancelled as an example Newcastle Town Moor has been held for a great many years hasn't it ? "But it didn't happen last year ! So we can't take events for granted. Also although there is a disclaimer in Coming Events about Fairs being cancelled and people should check before travelling you'd be surprised how many people complain to us that they have travelled to an event after seeing it in Coming Events only for it to of been cancelled at the last minute. ;)

That was the point I was trying to make, I was surprised that you hadn't been told or that it hasn't been advertised.

Quite frankly, anybody who has a go at Mike or the Moderators because of a cancelled fair should be ashamed of themselves.

Speaking of cancelled events, Larry Gray's fair at Norwich listed 22 October almost certainly won't be taking place as I understand they were there only the other week so presumably there was a change of dates.

I've started a forum titled "Unlisted Coming Events" at http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/forum/480-unlisted-coming-events/

If anyone is aware of any events taking place that we don't have listed, please post the details and we can include them in the coming events list.

Please remember the list is only as good as the information we get!!
