Everytime I have tried to search for something, it will not find what I am looking for, even though I know it's there.

If I search for Garry Evans - nothing.

If I search for NFAMM89 - nothing

If I search for Irvin Stringfellow - nothing.

I have tried searching in "this forum only" and also searching the entire website, biut always comes up with no results.

Seems to be working for me at present?

One thing I will suggest is that you search when on the board index. I have actually encountered this problem before at times and the index page is the only way I can get it to work.

That will require more investigation as it's working fine for me too

Are you able to try another browser?

No, haven't got a clue how to use another browser (wouldn't really want to either for fear of wrecking my computer settings!)

I can confirm that the search facility is working as expected. I've even tested it through your account and it is fine. It can only be a problem your end. I can take it to Tech Support, but the first thing they will ask is "have you tried another browser". Which OS & Browser are you using?

Is anyone else having the same problem?

From Tech Support

"Could you copy and paste the URL he is on when seeing no results for us?"

If you are also able to screen dump to show what you are searching and seeing would be helpful

The URL is simply funfairs.co.uk (main Forum page) and search.

Here's an example of a typical search (done on the main page). Twist NFATW205 - ex Nathan Stokes Twist, sold to Simon Steel last winter

No results.

It's like this for anything I search for.

Sorry to be pedantic, but Tech Support have specifically asked for a "Copy/Paste" of the URL you are using. I can't see what difference it makes, but......

As far as I know, I done what they have asked. I'm not particularly computer-minded. I assume the URL is the website address, correct? I've given that. I've also copied and pasted a before & after search example.

Is that what they've asked for?

When you are about to search, click in the address bar, copy the contents and paste it into a reply here and I can pass it to tech support

I've just clicked in the address bar (with a search subject in the search text box on the website), copied it and then pasted it on here, like you said, but the result is the above email address - the same as I said in my previous message.

Trojanhorse

Humour me if you will.

Look at the image below, and check you have all the same boxes marked as me

Click on the 'Activity' tab, then scroll over to the word 'Search' and click it, then you will get the same screen as the picture.

IF all the same buttons are ticked/marked as the picture, If you write  nfatw205 in the long white bar underneath 'Search The Community' , then enter or hit the 'Search content' button at the bottom of screen, you should get 2 results.

Harry Monk - yes, I have checked and all the same things are ticked. I did the search and indeed I did get two search results - but they are both from this thread! Why does it not find that ride in the Rides List?

How strange !

I get 3 results, see picture. 2 in this thread and 1in rides list under twist.

I just wondered if you had 1 setting different, say ' search in last week" instead of "search any"

Because at the time i posted that  i had 2 results , it didn't include that actual post where i typed nfatw205 in the post , but any search after will be 3 or more ( depending how many more times we write nfatw205 in this thread.

Fed the mouse more cheese and he's running faster now  😂
