The fairground is filled with exciting attractions and joyous stalls that cater for the whole family! The Winter Windows Schools Art Project and dazzling seasonal illuminations will also be showcased here. The Ross Bandstand also boasts a jam-packed programme of community-focused live events to celebrate the holiday period! More announcements coming soon. You better get your skates on as George Street will be home to the spectacular Ice Rink (18 Nov – 06 Jan). The rink will be covered allowing all visitors to skate in any weather. After your visit, get yourselves warmed up with a hot festive beverage, enjoy a ride on the vintage attractions before getting lost in all the wonderful food and gift stalls also located on George Street. Santa Claus is coming to St Andrew Square as they join us for our elf-tastic grotto experience accompanied by the wonderous Santa Stories (18 Nov – 24 Dec). These group sessions allow the little ones to meet Santa and receive a gift all the way from the North Pole workshop! St Andrew Square also hosts Social Bite’s Festival of Kindness and Tree & Gift Donation point. It’s an opportunity to give a gift this Christmas to those who need it most. The Big Wheel returns to East Princes Street Gardens (17 Nov – 06 Jan) displaying stunning views of Edinburgh’s winter skyline with the gorgeous markets situated below. The traditional chalets will be stocked with handcrafted gifts and festive mementos, courtesy of our brilliant traders. The gardens will be packed with a selection of thrilling attractions to suit all so tell us... which ride are you going on first? Access to the Christmas Markets is free and non-ticketed. Please be aware the market areas can be very busy at peak times. We advise all visitors to plan accordingly to make the most of their trip.
