As an aside, I use Chrome on my Android phone and the forum is a million percent better than the old software on mobile where I had the choice of 'mobile version' where I couldn't do most things or 'desktop' which was big, slow and bulky. The experience on my phone alone is worth the upgrade to me! Using this forum on my Note 5 is sooo much faster and more repsonsive than it used to be with the old forum s/ware, and thats all the way from the USA. IE is such a buggy cart horse I don't really know anyone who uses it much for day to day work anymore. 1 Link to comment

Went to Options and deselected Tabs - Open new windows in a new tab instead CORRECTION: Those settings are in Firefox, not Chrome, so they didn't solve the problem. Chrome is not my default browser, so it's not the end of the world for me - I'm only posting this in case I misled anyone else. Nevertheless, if anyone knows how to make Chrome work for me in this respect, please let me know. Link to comment
