I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird. In the last few hours, whilst logged off from the forum, I've received notications for 3 topics. The first was from Eugene here: http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/topic/76598-a-few-hand-crafted-gagboards/ the second from Lee: http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/topic/76599-my-2015-travels-part-1-miamis/ and the last from Simon: http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/topic/76601-124th-waltzer-rebuild/ All of them list the file names for the photos in the topic's first post. Those in Eugene's notification can be clicked on and opened in a Firefox window. None of Lee's can be opened. Only one of Simon's can be opened. I can't see why there should be any difference. I think you might have misunderstood my post, Harry. I'm referring to the links to individual photos in my Thunderbird email notifications. 1 Link to comment

Anybody? I've looked at the email you've sent and can offer an explanation The email you've sent me displays all six photos in it. Only one is a link though. The one that is also a link is the photo which hasn't been "inserted into post". That is, if the photo in a post has been inserted into that post it displays in the email as a photo. If it is an attachment but not inserted into the post it also displays as a clickable link. If they were correctly inserted into the post none would display in your email as links. All the best Bill Link to comment

It always bugs me when these things happen for no apparent reason. Link to comment
