Trojanhorse11
Hi Bill / Mods, I know you welcome suggestions that can help / improve anything on the website, so I have one that has slightly "bugged" me for a while! Would it be better to put the county on the title of all Coming Events posts? This is simply because sometimes when you look at a title, you have no idea where it is: "is this fair close to me or at least within visiting distance? Or is it across the other side of the country? No idea! Also, typing it into Google Maps can sometimes come up with two (or more) places of the same name, so you are still not sure which location it is. I know many entries do have the county on the actual page itself, but putting it on the title (like on the Fair Reports) makes the info instantly available instead of clicking on each entry or holding the pointer over each title for a few seconds to view it. It's a good suggestion and I would encourage all members posting events to add the County to the title. The only difficulty is that events are now supplied by Members with no Moderator alterations, so all we can do is ask & encourage! (It was one of the problems I had when compiling Coming Events. Someone would post a Poster with "Town" on it. I had no idea where it was, there may be many "Town"'s - the worse I had was nine possible locations!) Link to comment

Exactly Hopefully, if members see the county on the title, they may get into it over time, and it becomes the norm. Edited October 23, 2017 by Trojanhorse11 1 Link to comment
